"Flood effects on Economy"

Floods usually have devastating effects on the Economy of a country. Flood causes many disasters to land, property and people. It destroys whatever comes in its way. Flood destroys the crops and livestock thus limiting or completely eliminating their contributions to the economy. It also destroys road and railway networks in the affected area, So transportation of goods and people is effected, which also causes the economy to suffer. It destroys or damages buildings, factories, warehouses etc which often results in closing down of work in these places due to which not only the common workers suffer but also the industries suffer. Also, the government has to invest huge amount of funds and manpower in rehabilitation of people and industries, which also causes the economy to suffer at the national level.
